Part of the Rose Farm Preserve Open Space in East Haddam.
Off Route 82 in East Haddam, near the Ray of Light Farm. Property is about 68 acres, some logging roads but no true trails. Lots of wildlife to be seen- Owls, Deer, Coyotes, Foxes, etc. Also some Pileated Woodpeckers and Blubirds nesting in my backyard which is adjacent to the property :)
Watch out for thorns and ticks!
Two ways to approach this one, depending on where you park. If you want the quicker route, you can find parking near each stage which will allow for a relatively easy trip. For more of a challenge, and to more fully appreciate the open space, pick a parking spot and do both stages from there. Either way have fun!
