Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Tweedledum and Tweedledee, appear in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass. Their names originally come from an nursery rhyme by John Byrom. This is reenacted in the book by Tweedledum and Tweedledee. They agree to have a battle, but never actually have one.
Nursery rhyme:
Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle;
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.
Just then flew down a monstrous crow,
As black as a tar-barrel;
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel.
