This a Cache #8 in a series of 11. This is a regular sized container with room for the log, pencil, and some smaller swag items. ** Please approach the cache from the logging road below, and not over the steep bank from along the paved road above it! ** We don't want you to "self destruct"!

At the bottom of the steep grade in the bend of the curve, there is a small pullout with access to a 4x4 logging road into the State Land. If you drive down this road, limbs will scratch your vehicle and the turn around spot to get back out is about 50 yds beyond the cache site. The cache site is a short hike (400 ft) down this road and then up into the trees and brush. The original shelf in the title is long gone. There are only a couple of pieces of wood at the site now! A rag has been tied around a tree near the cache to give you a clue to the location of the container. Hopefully, this will be a quick grab for you, as there were mosquitos out when I placed this cache in May! Bring your bug spray! There is also a cow moose in the area and she is usually spotted in the early mornings.
