This cache in the series of Grand River Marsh Birdwatcher caches is to highlight the birdlife in a cattail marsh. Listen to the Redwing Blackbirds and maybe hear the squawk of a Yellowheaded Blackbird. There are Common Yellowthroats and you may hear a Swamp Sparrow or a Sora Rail. Relocated the cache closer to the parking area on 7/7/15. (The original location was 1/4 mile walk and had become overgrown and full of wild parsnips.)
Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area is a 7000 acre property located in SW Green Lake County and SE Marquette County near Lake Puckaway. are managed for quality waterfowl habitat.
The Wildlife area is open to hunting.
