Geocache Description:

This easy, handicapped-accessible cache is extremely close to a level, paved path leading from the hospital parking lot.

When Geocaching.com aired a video about handicapped-accessible geocaching, I was inspired to create a geocache that fit those criteria. I also wanted to highlight a little-known location in Columbus, the Columbus Community Hospital walking trail, called the "Wellness Walkway." The quarter-mile path is a lovely spot opened in 1997. It has flowers, benches, fountains and an arbor with stretching instructions in a mailbox. Lovely!

Handicapped-Accessible features: The cache is inches off of the level, wide, paved "Wellness" walkway. There is direct access from the parking lot. The container is large enough to be picked up without bending down much and has a handle (it's actually a 3 gallon horse vitamin bucket!). The only difficult thing might be the camouflage-- but don't worry, it's not heavy despite its appearance!
Note: Unfortunately, this walkway is NOT shoveled in winter. Cache while you can!

This cache was placed with the permission of CCH and Rebecca Remmich, Director of the CCH Foundation. Questions or concerns can be directed towards me (green.traveler@gmail.com) or Ms. Remmich (rremmich@cch-inc.com).
