lel_h's puzzle These Puzzles Make Me Sick got me thinking about whether the problem is physical or psychological.
Geocachers can appear to be an unusual bunch of people to the uninitiated. We've been called many things, from "obsessed" to "crazy". And perhaps there are none as... well, let's say "dedicated" as the puzzle cacher. Here is someone who would gnaw away at a puzzle just to eventually sign a small slip of paper, and declare it a triumph.
I've devised an experiment to see if a person can function in society, or if they'll eventually become a thumb sucking, nail biting, piece of wreck - that is, if they are not one already. Take a look at the following image. Whoa, hold it, come back here. There's no need to rush off to do a Google Image Search - it's Card IX in the Rorschach series. I got it off Wikipedia.
Stare at it a bit. Take your time. What do you see?
Some people see a flower, map, or even Teddy Roosevelt (don't ask). Some might see a mushroom cloud, or even monsters fighting. To a trained psychiatrist, your answer might be revealing. But it doesn't take years of medical school to tell you that if you see coordinates to a puzzle final in there, you're beyond help. Don't believe me? Just ask Certitude.
Puzzle Notes : No psychiatric, psychological, or medical knowledge is necessary to solve this puzzle. Being insane is also not a requirement.
