Geocache Description:

An easy Docklands cache, a short walk from Cross Harbour DLR Station. The location can be slightly busy on weekday afternoons - especially if the sun is out - but otherwise generally quiet.

Magnetic cache in a taped mints tin

There's a stubby pencil inside. Be sure to put the logbook back in with the string easily accessible (so it can be pulled back out again).

The cache is next to the site of the London Arena, which was built in 1989.

During its heyday, the Arena was home to the London Knights ice hockey team and the London Towers basketball team. It also played host to acts like S Club 7 and WWE wrestling events.

After the O2 was built, the London Arena started to suffer financially, this may have also been due to transport links not being as strong as they are today.

It was shut in 2005 and demolished in 2006 to make way for the flats which are there now.
