(LT)Smalininku miestelis garseja seniausia Lietuvoje vandens matavimo stotimi, yrengta 1811 m. (pirmoji vandens matuokle neišliko; dabar išlike akmeniniai „laiptai“,sumuryti 1886 m. kurie buvo naudojami vandens lygiui matuoti. Šalia matuokles yra stebejimo bokštelis, statytas maždaug 1924–1926 m.).
(EN)Town of Smalininkai is mastly famous by it's water level measurement station wich was built in 1811 year. there is no gauge itself but there is "stone stairs" wich was used to measure the water level,
they were made in 1886. Not far from there stands watchtower wich was built approximately in 1924-1926.
