Easy short walk from the village of Wensley. Approach either on path from at North end of the village or up through field from woods opposite Oaker road further down the hill. Parking available in Wensley Square or further down road towards Darley. Fairly flat grass track or not-too-steep meadow depending on approach route.
This is our first cache so looking forward to some feedback on how it went. Cache is a plastic foodbox approx 7x5inch and in addition to a log & pencils we have tried to make it child friendly with a couple of coloring pads, crayons, rubber, power balls, toy cars and a few toys. Cache is on a nice little walk that heads through the fields to the Woods just above South Darley, with nice views across the valley to Riber Castle. Suitable for a "park & short stroll" or part of a longer hike in the White Peak area of Derbyshire.
