A micro cache on the Taff Trail cycle / footpath.
You are looking for a micro cache which holds only a log sheet a - no room for trade items or trackables and please bring your own pen.
GPS reception under the trees is extremely poor and there are many possible hiding places, so you may need the clue. The coordinates have been obtained using multiple readings, but if cachers think they have more accurate figures, please let us know!
For wheelchair users, the narrow gateways on the trail (designed to deter motorcycles) may make access from some points difficult. The best point of entry to the trail for wheelchair users is probably at River View in Gabalfa. (See waypoint) Although the path itself is wheelchair and pushchair friendly, the last part is up a small but steep bank and is unlikely to be accessible by wheelchair users without help.
Parking can be found either at River View (see waypoint) or at the nearby supermarket / industrial estate. Bus travel will involve a longer walk; the number 35 bus (a circular route) stops on Gabalfa Avenue or there is an infrequent but free service to the nearby supermarket (details here: www.natgroup.co.uk)
This part of the trail is frequently used by families with children, although care will need to be taken because cyclists sometimes travel at speed and the cache is close to the river.
The usual Lego key ring awaits the First To Find!
