Geocache Description:

The cache is a custom container placed in a park so it is safe for all to find. GZ is wheelchair & stroller friendly but the cache could be hard to retrieve.

I stopped at this park for some lunch and I was interested where the anchor came from and as there were some plaques on the wall next to it I had a closer look.

The plaques are about the discovery of the harbour, the original inhabitants of the area and a memorial for some service personal who lost their life during a training exercise and the military units that served in the area. It is some interesting history and should be pointed out to people.

I think that another cache in this area is now ok as the old mix cache close by has been archived for some time now and no one has placed another around here.
