Geocache Description:

This is a popular lookout for Butternut, our local Ogre who looks after the conservation area here. Access to the site is difficult at the best of times with a creek and rolling terrain to cross. With increased traffic, she can no longer hide her treasures "below" her lookout, so its more like way off to the side...

Cache is located within the Butternut Creek Conservation Area. Easiest at low water in summer or when frozen in the winter but access is possible year round. Some minimal bushwhacking if you take the right trail hooking around through the meadow below. Keep your eyes open for deer, frogs, plenty of birds and other wildlife, even foxes and coyotes from time to time. It looks like some younger ogres have been working nearby so feel free to help us cart some of the remaining debris off to preserve this site as best we can. Happy Caching!
