The cache is located outside of the only water park in the state of Hawai'i. Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii, with 25 rides and attractions occupying 25 acres (101,000 square meters) opened in May 1999 and was originally named Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park. As one of Hawaii’s most-visited attractions, the water park had about 405,000 visitors in 2019. In 2021 Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii initiated a 1.3-megawatt solar system, which the company said now makes the park 100% solar-powered. It consists of 2,958 high-efficiency 440-watt solar panels, with the solar arrays situated over the parking lot to provide shade for cars parked there.
