Geocache Description:

This cache is an ammo box located along the Jim Schhug rail to trail conversion which follows the old Lehigh Valley RR grade. Parking is less than a quarter mile away and the walk is flat and easy until less than 20 feet from the hide. Because of that last 20 feet being soggy ground and on a hill, I've rated the terrain at a 2. The ammo box is well hidden.....PLEASE be careful of fisherman muggles when retrieving it! PLEASE note the difficulty rating and decrypt the hint to keep searches short to avoid muggles noticing you too much.

In the 1800's and into the very first part of the last century, the Lehigh Valley trains would stop to load blocks of ice cut from frozen Dryden lake in the winter and transport them to storage facilities to be kept and then sold in the summer to people who used them in their ice boxes (early refrigerators). As electric refrigerators replaced ice boxes, the old ice house was abandoned. You can still see the walls here however, and in the above photo, the geo-Aussies are posing on one for you! Nearby, you can find a plaque which describes in detail this area and the structure which stood here. Please be sure to do the other caches in this area while you are here, and this is a great place to fish too!

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2013:
BE STEALTHY! And replace EXACTLY AS FOUND so it cannot be seen! This hide was muggled after TWO YEARS and I really would like cachers to try to keep this hiding spot unnoticed by the many people who fish and walk past here!
