Geocache Description:

Mad Hatter

The Hatter is a fictional character in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the story’s sequel, Through the Looking-Glass.

The Hatter asks a riddle in the book, “Why is a raven like a writing desk?” When Alice gives up, the Hatter admits he does not have an answer himself.

Lewis Carroll originally intended the riddle to be just a riddle without an answer, but after many request from readers, he thought up a possible answer to the riddle. “Because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!”

"Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you're at!"

"Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea-tray in the sky.
