While exploring these woods, my partner and I happened on a nest
of acromantulas. We fought them back as best we could, but before
long I had cast Wingardium Leviosa and sadly my spell went awry. My
wand flew out of my hand and landed high up in a tree. We fled the
area until the giant spiders gave up the chase.
We went back later to find the acromantulas gone, but my wand
was stuck up there. So rather than try to save it, we put a
geocache on it!
This is not the tree where I lost my wand, but it does show the
excellent acromantula camouflage in this part of the forest.
