Geocache Description:

Light, time, mass and dimension are intertwined and solving this little word problem / puzzle will allow you to find the true coordinates of the cache. Once you have calculated the true coordinates travel there and begin your search.

Problem:

Major Tom has privately developed a one person spacecraft that can attain 99% light speed (0.99c). He decides to take a little trip to a far off planet that will take him 4 years and 3 months one way.

When Major Tom leaves Earth he is 40 years old and his son is 10 years old. Major Tom travels to the planet at a speed of 99% that of light and stays there for one year. Then he travels back to Earth at the same speed.

Attached image is the formula for Relativity Factor.

The formula is used for calculating the mass, time and dimension change factor that occur when objects are in motion.

How many years old is Major Tom when he returns to Earth? This is X for calculation below.

How many years old is his son when Major Tom returns? This is Y for calculation below.
