The elephant is the largest land animal and live to be 50-70 years old. The 2 main elephants are the African and the Asian. The African elephant has large ears, is larger in size and has a concave back. The Asian elephant has smaller ears, is hairier and only the males have tusks. Elephants live in a structured social order and are herbivores eating about 16 hrs/day. The cache is located near the parking area near the top of Chilson Hill on Rt. 74. You'll have a beautiful view of the Green Mts. and the Champlain Valley from here.
