The pig is an omnivore which is raised for its meat (pork, bacon, ham), leather and hairs for brushes. The ancestor of the domesticated pig is the wild boar. They have 44 teeth and a large head with a long snout ending in a disc of cartilage for rooting. Pot bellied pigs are raised for pets. This cache is located on Alder Meadow Rd. where it crosses the Schroon River.
