I usually pick historic locations around Las Vegas to hide my caches, but recently Ive become a big fan of the old TV show Vega$ starring Robert Urich. It has an incredible wealth of historic video footage of Las Vegas from 1978, as they filmed at dozens of locations that don't even exist anymore, or have changed so much you wouldn't even recognize them.
This cache location takes you right to what used to be the driveway to the converted warehouse Dan Tanna lived in, and even though the building itself is long gone you still might catch a glimpse of a red 1957 T-Bird convertible cruising the strip.
Check out the DVD sets from your local library for the full effect of this cache.
Cache is a small log only container, please be sure to replace exactly as/where found. Please, No Stickers. Please be gentle when placing the cache back at it's hiding spot.
Location is just off main sidewalk, but can be high muggle area at times. Take a tourist brochure along and "read" it until you can make the grab. Not really any parking around, sorry if you had to walk too far to grab this. This would be a good one to grab while you visit either the Riviera or Circus Circus hotels.
Sorry if you were looking for a glitzy, bright lights area of the Strip- this is the end of the Strip that time left behind. BTW- In reply to several logs, there is no more trash and littering here than in front of say, the Flamingo or Mirage- there's just nothing else to catch your eye at this end of the Strip.
