Geocache Description:

GoHealaniGo is the chant that is used as the Healani canoe's are racing in the canoe racing regattas.It is also the website name.

The Healani Canoe Club,was established in 1890.They became a member of the OHCRA(Oahu Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association) in 1950 along with four other canoe clubs and was given the number designation 1. It made its home on the Ala Wai Canal. It's current practice site in now on Sand Island Parkway.Several other canoe clubs share the same practice area. It is near the Honolulu Community Colleges Marine Education and Training Center.Hokule'a is docked there sometimes.There are 1 man canoes,HCC sailing classes,kayakers,fishermen,paddle boarders,waterskiers,hydrofoil boards and jet skiers that also use the area.The practice site is also across from Mokauea Island,Oahu's last Hawaiian fishing village. New recreation areas are also starting up nearby,like the Sandbox-a bicycle moto cross track and 4wheel drive freestyle and technical courses.Cache container is a small sized container. Most evenings here you will see picture perfect sunsets. Watch out for homeless muggles. Don't leave any trackables. Cache tends to go missing at least once a year.
