This cache has been archived.

jackieimhere: Been to check on this today and it looks like its gone I'm afraid.
As with other caches in this series, I will be archiving them if they go astray as the series has run its course over the past few years, thanks to all those who enjoyed finding them.

Geocache Description:

This is part three of a series of four caches located around the area of Woolton Woods and Camp Hill.

Woolton Woods was originally part of the Woolton Hall Estate, originally owned by the Ashton family who date back to the 16th century.

From 1871 ownership passed on to Holbrook Gaskell, owner of a chemical works in Widnes. A keen orchid grower and horticulturist, his walled garden included a fernery and a wide range of exotic flowers.
In 1917 Col. James P Reynolds ( Reynolds Park ) acquired the estate for £12000, later selling it on to Liverpool Corporation.

The area known locally as Camp Hill apparently gets its name from the belief that an Iron Age camp occupied the site from around 150 B.C.
Terrific views over the Mersey and onwards to the Wirral and North Wales can be gained from here.

The reason for choosing life cycles goes back to my children being small and one of their favourite books being “The Hungry Caterpillar” The story stayed with them as they grew and helped to form a long lasting interest in the habitats and stages of life all animals go through before adulthood.

You are looking for a screw cap container. It contains a few small swaps with log and pencil.

You will see each stage of the butterflies lifecycle fixed onto the underside of the lid, please do not try to remove.

Happy hunting !

Congratulations to srmk00 for FTF !
