Lytes Cary Loop 3. Lytes Cary Manor (National Trust) has 3 marked walks on the estate. This loop takes in the estate walk (red) and the river walk (yellow). It is approximately 3 miles long and the terrain is easy. Cache placed with the kind permission of the National Trust.
Crossing the grass field, which is commercially harvested, you will see many wild flowers especially in the field margins; these attract bees and butterflies. If you look for the field on google earth you will see markings on the ground. Is this a long lost roman villa? The view from the seat at the top includes South Cadbury castle.
