Geocache Description:

An event honoring one of Arkansas' finest geocachers, at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday June 11, 2011.

This is the second installment of the Arkansas 10,000 club. It is to honor Pat Vaughn AKA Woodwalker9. Pat has been an icon of Arkansas geocaching, and I am and pleased to be able to honor him and show my gratitude for all he has done for our game and for me personally in this manner.
Won't you join us at 2618 S. Shackleford in Little Rock at 8:00 A.M. to get him inducted into the 10,000 club?
As a part of this decision to host this event, I have decided to take on the 10,000 club until such a time as there are enough members for it to go on its own. Since I have decided to do this, I have a few ideas on how this award should be earned.
I feel that when a geocacher has reached the ten thousand cache milestone, there are some other requirements that should be met to qualify for membership in my club. I feel that this should be this way to keep people from just being users of other people's hard work at placing and maintaing caches.
I have devised a simple points system for inclusion into this club. Of course the biggest requirement is to find 10,000 caches! Also a cacher should acquire at least a total of 500 points on the following scale for inclusion in my club.
Three points for each cache hidden.
Four points for each cache hidden with a terrain of 3.5 or higher. (These are harder to maintain)
Ten points for each event hosted or co-hosted.
Ten points for every month served as reviewer.
Intangibles. There are things that cachers do that don't get noticed on the official website, that are very important to the service of our game. This could include but not be limited to, serving at a Scouting event or a school event as a promoter for geocaching. Serving as an officer in an organization that promotes geocaching. These are examples but not the only things that could be considered. The points awarded for these services would be determined by the existing members of the club.
I hope these guidlines meet the approval of my fellow geocachers. They are simply an attempt to reward those who have contributed so much to our game.
The last thing here, is that one must actually reside in Arkansas to be considered for this award. Simply claiming residence in Arkansas for the purpose of having ones stats shown on any of the stat websites does not count.

Of course you may attend this event without the purchase of a meal, but I ask that you please not bring food in from anywhere else.
