This cache is located in Ramapo Valley County Reservation. The park
is only open during daylight hours.
The cache is near Bear Swamp Road. You will most certainly have to
cross water to get to the cache location - regardless of your
approach - however, you should be able to avoid getting wet unless
there has been a ton of rain lately.
Is this a typical wjgrun cachetainer? One that I generally hide or
enjoy finding - not really. If this one disappears, it won't be
replaced in the same manner.
Bear Swamp Road is a private, gated road - you may not park or
drive on it. There is a small pull-off parking area (which is
probably legal), just north of Bear Swamp Road on Route 202.
WARNING:
Wildlife: These parks are home to all sorts of
wildlife. I have run across black bear, snakes, deer, lots of TICKS
here (and more).
General: You are responsible for your own safety. Be
observant & cautious of all hazards at all times. Trails,
rocks, etc can be quite slippery when wet or leaf covered, carry a
trail map & cell phone, know how to use your gps, etc.
