Geocache Description:


This tribute to the dark-haired Violet is the 7th in my Peanuts series. Violet was a regular during Peanuts' earliest years. In fact, she and Charles were almost boyfriend-girlfriend. Later, sadly, Violet became quite nasty to Charlie Brown.

As Violet is a friend of Lucy, I've placed the two within hollering (for those two) distance. The quote is from the October 27, 1951 Peanuts. When Charlie Brown accidentally runs over her dolly on his tricycle, Violet practically murders him...with her dolly (visit link)

Both Lucy ("You Blockhead") and Violet are located on a beautiful, closed-off stretch of Hogsback Road. The road is largely overgrown, with broken pavement mixing with plants. The road looks out over Peppermill Gulf, with quite a steep drop-off in some places. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here at night. Parking is available where Hogsback Road meets Bailer Road.

The 2.5 terrain rating is mainly for the medium grade, which, if you park at Hogsback & Bailer, you'll definitely feel on the walk back.

Cache is a two-quart rubbermaid container wrapped in camo tape. FTF prize was a squeezy fish thing.
