The Greater Wellington Regional District Council undertakes a
range of environmental monitoring across the Wellington region.
Monitoring the state of the environment allows them to observe
and interpret trends or changes in environmental quality and
determine the reasons for these have good information for guiding
resource consent decision making evaluate the effectiveness of the
Regional Policy Statement and regional plans, and identify where
policy changes may be necessary for the sustainable management of
the region's natural resources; and convey information about our
natural resources to the wider community.
At the given GZ The Greater Wellington Regional District Council
measures air quality information (such as PM10, carbon monoxide and
nitrogen dioxide) at several sites across the region. At most of
our air quality sites, we also measure meteorological information
such as wind speed/direction, air temperature, relative humidity,
barometric pressure etc. The parameters that are monitored vary
from site to site.
The data are logged on a regular basis (usually every 5 or 10
minutes) and then uploaded to our database via telemetry (radio or
cell phone transmission) every 2 to 3 hours. This is "raw data"
because it has not been passed through our quality checks. Once it
has been checked it is moved to a secure archive and is referred to
as "archived data".
The data we provide for this website is a combination of
archived and raw data. The archived data is shown in black and the
raw data is shown in red. This ensures that the data we are
providing is as accurate and up to date as possible. Should you
require the information in a form other than how it is presented
here, please contact us and we can usually provide it within two
working days.

The cache is a 600ml screw top camo cotainer containing a
logbook and writing instrument only when placed and has room for
swaps. The difficulty rating is the ability of retrieving the cache
as it is placed in a very HIGH muggle location.
Please replace it back to the
exact position that you found it as we don't want it to be muggled
as this location is a VERY high muggle
location.
Please NOTE that if you must sign
