Have a Ball, Y'all Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

West Texas Reviewer: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 15 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

On 5Jun2006 bobchernow created traditional geocache GCWEPN which was right on a trail and problematic to keep from being muggled ('problematic' here is a euphemism for 'impossible'). It was archived and I liked the theme so much I resurrected it. Given that it was muggled, at the very least 4 times, I made the replacement harder to find.

This is a themed geocache. Like a ball? Take a ball. Have a ball? Leave a ball. Don't have a ball? That's OK ... have a ball anyway!

PLEASE read this paragraph before posting complaints about D/T rating. The Difficulty rating is MISLEADING in WINTER months when there's less foliage (& less traffic). During the Summer, the D=4 is appropriate and, therefore, legitimately listed because it's the toughest this one gets. When I created this, oddly enough, I didn't realize it was close to a trail, hence, T=2.5. While the terrain should be dropped, some now rely on the odd D/T rating of 4/2.5 to fill in their grid. Therefore, the rating stays.

NOW, back to the theme ... I keep this stocked with baseballs, golf balls, tennis balls, little bouncy balls, ... it even had a billiard ball at one point (the 15 to be exact). It's also become somewhat of a favorite for large travel bugs as there's lots of room and CAN BE hard to find.

To quote bobchernow ... "Have a Ball, Y'all!"

Congratulations to Dr. Pflug for FTF.

Thanks, heftydude, for favoriting!
