Geocache Description:

Cache IS at the posted coordinates.
Please read the entire page carefully before setting out to hunt this cache.

After finding DJ and CAL's VT - One Busy Day - Icon Challenge in 2010, I was inspired to place one in southern Vermont. Since we are so close to the borders of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, this version allows you to complete the challenge using caches from one, two or three of the states in our tri-state area. Read on to see what this is all about.

Ever had a busy caching day? Ever had a busy well-rounded caching day? Here's your chance to tell us about it!

The Challenge

In order to fulfill the challenge, you are required to

Find Six Different Cache Types in One Day

Tell us about your One Busy Day by creating a public bookmark list, or simply listing the caches in your log, with the date of your busy day, the GC code, cache name and in what state the cache is located.
For example:

Date: 4/27/10
GC1HDF3 -- What IS a Juke Joint? -- Traditional -- VT
GC1CETV -- Achilles Trail -- Multi-cache -- VT
GCG0XP -- Beached! -- Virtual -- VT
GC1DGG4 -- Don't Get Stung -- Letterbox Hybrid -- VT
GC16B0B -- monkeesting's 200th cache -- Unknown (Mystery) -- VT
GC1W5GE -- Quechee Gorge Earth Cache -- Earth Cache -- VT

The Cache

After your Busy Day, come and hunt this cache. The cache is hidden on the public land of the Retreat Trails. Maps are generally available at the trailheads, or you can download one at The Retreat Trails page.

Excellent trails lead to the area of the cache, but the last 450 feet may require some bushwhacking. (The cache is in sight of an un-mapped mountain bike trail.)

Although the cache may seem near Interstate 91, it is neither legal nor safe to stop on the highway. (The hiders and finders of the VT - One Busy Day - -Icon Challenge may recognize the verisimilitude of this location.) Please approach only from the Retreat Trails. The two closest parking areas are marked below, and there are others besides those.

You will be looking for a green-painted lock'n'lock. The cache is not in a winter-friendly location, but may be findable with some digging.

The cache terrain and difficulty ratings are for the cache itself and don't include the difficulty of finding the variety of caches needed for this challenge.
