Once upon a time a
streetcar would make its way down Monroe Street and would turn
around at this intersection for its return trip back up toward Camp
Randall. In 1916, Menges Pharmacy opened a brand new store on this
corner. In the winter, riders would keep warm in the store while
waiting for their streetcar to arrive. Menges became known as
'the pharmacy at the end of the
line.'

Menges Pharmacy went bust a few years later and the streetcars
vanished in the 1920s. Now all that remains of their memory is this
humble little cache.
During the day this is a high muggle area. Please be as discreet as
possible while searching for the cache. Odds are if you are not
discreet, my coworkers and I will be laughing at you while we watch
you search for the cache. Please bring your own
pen!!!
Permission was granted by the current owner of the adjacent
building to place this cache. The cache is not attached to the
building. Also, do not step in Peg's flower garden located along
Harrison Street.
Squish Warning: Please Please Please watch your step along the very
busy Monroe Street. Consider using one of the red flags that have
been provided if you need to
cross.
