Geocache Description:

This Park is dedicated to Maynard Odegaard who had served the City of Tioga for many years.

There is an electric box in the area. Do not open it.

Maynard was a lifelong resident of Tioga. After coming home from the US Navy Maynard went on to join the Tioga Fire and Ambulance Departments for 48 years. Maynard became a city council member in the 1950's. In 1959 Maynard became a city employee until he died in 1992. Maynard served his community in many more ways than I am writing about.
Maynard's sons followed their father's example. 3 sons are with either the fire and ambulance or both. He has grandchildren on the fire dept. or helping with other community needs.
I wish I would have met him, and see 1st hand what he did for the city of Tioga.
