Geocache Description:

This cache is located where the road to the old double bridges used to be. Back in the day, this lake had double bridges crossing it. The lake looked very different back then(swamp like). We heard many old stories about the double bridges and the lake. At one time, the lake may have had more cars and tires in it than on any local car lot. Back in the 1970's, crossing the bridge at night was a spooky but fun ride. In the 1980's, the bridges got blocked off with large dirt mounds. You could still cross on foot or with a bicycle or dirtbike. If you walk the grassy path and out onto the jetties, that is where the bridges were. Now that the lake is cleaned up, it would have been neat if the bridges were still here.
