Geocache Description:

park and grab but a high muggle area at times. This is a small film canister like container with log only, bring your own pen.

BEST DONE AT DAYTIME
Ok so this is not the greatest of areas however I do travel it daily and am always taken back by the view here. To the east of the cache is the United Methodist Church of Hempstead, a beatiful historic church built in 1822. To the south is Hempstead Town Hall built in 1918 by Thomas Dunn. The clock tower is breathtaking at sunset. Prior to World War I, this area was a meadowland with a stream wandering through it. It was used by farmers as a market place for their produce. Now the area is a municiple lot, but the beautiful old buildings are worth the visit. My recommendation would be to make this a daytime cache, but when school lets out it can be very busy area (the Middle school is one block south). Enjoy the view and don't forget your pen.
