Geocache Description:

It will be the 6th Yearly Teddy Bears Picnic Event this year!!!!!

Is it not someone elses turn yet?? [:P]

This year the event will be held at

Herrington Country Park, Sunderland, A183 Shiney Row to Sunderland road
The park is opposite to Penshaw Monument
on Saturday 20th August,
from 1pm - 5pm (having our picnic about 3pm)

This year we will be having a HUGE tombola, and something the BellisClan is putting together
(be afraid be very afraid) all monies raised will go to you know where.. (I am not allowed to say on the event page) and a free quiz!!

We will also be having a Kids Treasure Hunt and a Doggie Treasure Hunt!!! If you would like to join in with either of these please let me know on you attendance log so I can make sure I have enough certificates and prizes.

As usual we would like to ask each team attending to bring along something savoury and something sweet to put on the tables for everyone to share.
If you have an special dietary needs please feel free to bring along your own picnic.
Please remember to bring along your Teddy Bear and a chair or blanket to sit on.

A few new caches should be set in the area for the event too.

The idea of this event is to just chill out and have a chat and something to eat and drink, and maybe swap a few geocaching tales and TBs

The park has a river, lots of open grassed space and plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around, a play area and toilets ect.....newbies, oldbies, kids and dogs are all welcome

WOW we have gone mad for this event there will be sooo much going on during the day!!!

We will be having

A meeting of Teddies (put them on the blanket)
A Picnic (remember if you are joining the shared picnic to bring along something sweet and something savoury for all to share)
The start of this years TB Race!!
A Quiz (a free quiz with a prize for the winning team)
A Kids Treasure Hunt (with prizes and certificates for all who enter)
An Adults Treasure Hunt (with a prize for one lucky team)
A Doggy Treasure Hunt (with a Doggy Goodie Bag for all entrants)
A Guess the name of the Teddy (Guess it's name and win it)
A Treasure Island Game (write your name on the correct square and win a prize)
A HUGE tombola with 200 prizes!! (all monies to Help for Heroes)

A raffle with 18 GOOD donated prizes, this is to help buy the new gazebo!!
(I have 16 numbers left at £1.00 per number if you would like any)

Plus new caches which will be released on the day!!
