This is a cache set overlooking an epic fishing spot in a
quiet bay. We started fishing here as kids and still come here
often on holiday – a trip to this spot is a must.
We haven’t caught too many fish here mind you, but
that’s not a problem. I think the more you fish the more you
realise it’s got little to do with the fish, especially in a
place like this.
You can get to GZ easily by boat or on foot. By foot; you will have
to enter the Qwantani resort as a day visitor. A day visitors
charge is payable at the gate. The gates is manned for 24hrs but
officially open at 08h00 and close at 17h00.
The resort falls within the greater Sterkfontein Nature
Reserve.
You won’t need a rod or reel for this one, but brush up those
tracking skills and follow the animal paths and you should end up
near GZ without too much hassle.
