Geocache Description:

DO NOT DO THIS AT NIGHT, THE NEIGHBORS HAVE COMPLAINED!

You are looking for a MICRO container… Watch out for Muggles as this area is out in the open! The terrain is flat and should be an easy walk. All parks close after dark! PLEASE HIDE THE CACHE AFTER FINDING IT.

PLEASE RESPECT THE PRIVACY OF NEIGHBORS AND DO NOT GO ONTO THEIR PROPERTY! Thank you!!

#1 of 11 PLEASE FOLLOW THE SERIES IN ORDER 1 - 11!

LEARN ABOUT LOCAL HISTORY WHILE GEOCACHING!!! This is the Raupp Museum’s first ever Geocaching Series!!! This is a cache series that will lead the Geocacher around town highlighting our local park history. Some of these sites may go unnoticed to the average person until they have been made aware of them. To commemorate this series 200 geocoins have been created.

You must complete the all of the sites within the series (#1 through #11) in order to follow the series properly. Do not forget to log your finds! Remember, my goal is to have Geocachers learn a little about our town’s history.

The first to find all of the caches will receive a prize inside of cache #11, a FREE Buffalo Grove history geocoin! Only 200 have been made and will not be reissued after they are gone…

PLEASE HIDE THE CACHE AFTER FINDING IT. I do not want the muggle who found it last time to remove this again. Thank you!

It was in this area during the early 1970’s that the tallest buildings in Buffalo Grove once stood and as a result the fire department had to buy its first ladder truck. The buildings still exist, however they are no longer the tallest in Buffalo Grove!

Do not forget to post photos of your adventure!

Congrats to cigarboysmokes for being the first to find!
