Of all the myriad names for places and features in Texas, perhaps none (save for the fabled Woman Hollering Creek) is more heatedly debated than that of the tiny burg of Mountain City. Where, in fact, is this so-famous mountain? Were the original settlers Lilliputians who were overawed by a nearby knoll? Was it a victim of overzealous quarrying? Did some nefarious supervillain steal it? To this day, no one can really say. However, at least now the town has a cache to boast of.
Please note that this is essentially a relocation of an existing cache, which previously was up the road a bit at a different sign. That particular site has been repurposed for an entry in the Texas Spirit Quest series, and in fact the original log is still back there. I probably chose the most confusing way to carry this process out, so please feel free to mock me via email.
