This cache is part of a series of ten caches posted to honor my wife’s birthday. There are 10 in the series because “DeeDee IS A 10”! For those younger cachers who do not understand the phrase, Google Bo Derek and 10 and you’ll figure it out. DeeDee is a master cacher and usually strives for originality and inventiveness in her caches. As you do these caches you will quickly find that I have neither of those qualities in great supply but would like to honor her with this series in what brings her happiness; getting out and caching.
This cache honors DeeDee’s past passion for golfing. Just around the corner from this cache lies one of DeeDee’s favorite golf courses. There was a time when DeeDee was known to smack a golf ball right on the sweet spot of her club. As green fees went up and opportunities to golf went down, golfing eventually gave way to caching as her favorite sport to do outdoors.
