This cache is part of a series of ten caches posted to honor my wife’s birthday. There are 10 in the series because “DeeDee IS A 10”! For those younger cachers who do not understand the phrase, Google Bo Derek and 10 and you’ll figure it out. DeeDee is a master cacher and usually strives for originality and inventiveness in her caches. As you do these caches you will quickly find that I have neither of those qualities in great supply but would like to honor her with this series in what brings her happiness; getting out and caching.
This cache gives you a nice view of Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island where DeeDee served her country by supporting the man who worked and flew out of that same NAS you can see just south of the cache. In your log feel free to share a memory of someone you know who has either served their country as a service member or as a family member of a service member.
