Geocache Description:


This cache is one of several placed with permission in the Roeliff Jansen Park in Hillsdale, NY to encourage visitation of the park.
  

  
Roeliff Jansen Park (RJP) operates under an agreement between the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), who owns the land, and the Town of Hillsdale, whose responsibility is to manage and guide its use for our extended Roeliff Jansen community.  Because RJP is not a traditional state park, it does not receive state funding.  Volunteers help manage, maintain and run the park day-to-day.  Everyone using the park plays an important role in keeping it clean and enjoyable so be sure and practice CITO when you visit.  The park includes four beautiful trails, an area where families with small children can enjoy the Roeliff Jansen Kill and several picnic areas.
 
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.  A trail map is available at the park or online at http://www.roejanpark.org/uploads/1/0/6/9/1069965/trailmap.pdf
 
You're looking for a camo'd Rubbermaid container located just off the trail.  Cache started with a log, pencil and a handful of toys for trading.
