Well DUH it's a Puzzle Cache

My only grand daughter, Madison, asked as we sat on the couch,
“Grandpa, will you play 'Candyland' with me?"
I told her that I would, again.		   Madison
This classic is the first real game that I played with my grand daughter, Madison.
At three she could count but did not recognize numbers yet.
The fact that you do not need to count is the beauty of this game. This game remains a staple with her.
The fantasy setting held her attention and made it exciting for her and me!

And, Yes, she beats me regularly!

Candyland    Candyland, the 1980’s version, is a simple racing board game.
It has become a cultural icon in the U.S.
This is among the first board games played by children because it requires no ability to read and only minimal counting skills.
To 'play' this version, you must solve the following:

  • A = ? Q: How many play spaces to the ‘Rainbow Trail’?   Is it:  2, 3, 4, 5, or 6
  • B = ? Q: How old do you have to be to play?  Is it:  2, 3, 4, 5, 6
  • C = ? Q: What is the least number of players allowed? Then ADD 6.  Is it:  2, 3, 4, 5, 6
  • X = ? Q: What is the highest number of players allowed? Is it:   2, 3, 4, 5, 6
  • Y = ? Q: How much reading is needed to play? Is it:   None, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years
  • Z = ? Q: How many Special [location] cards are there? Then ADD 2.  Is it:  2, 3, 4, 5, 6
