Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache with a difference. Please be carefull while retrieving and please place back in the same area exactly so it stays in situe ;-)

Roa island is a great area to spot boats and see a great view of Piel Island.Piel Island is steeped in history and has been on television. There is a very popular event when the King of Piel is crowned and then covered in beer!!! You can see the old castle that has been there for hundreds of years and can be visited by a ferry or by foot. The ferry is just a phone call away and will take you to the island and back for a fee. Whilst on the island you can partake in a cold beverage and a snack in the pub, and can even camp there, and this is a very polular holiday place for the locals to enjoy. Opposite the cache is a restarant called Bosuns Locker which makes great food and great drinks too! You can also learn the history of the lifeboat station which is suituated next to the Bosuns Locker and the ferry launch platform. Learn about the people who go out and save people and find boats that go adrift. Inside there is a shop and they sell lots of things and activities you can do.
