Geocache Description:

Cache is located in Normandale Cemetery, just off Spooky Hollow Road. At the bottom of the hill on Mill lane there's great little public beach area, with a great view of Lake Erie, where I used to bring my kids many years ago! Log only so BYOP. There's a fiver for FTF but you might need something to haul it out!! My first hide so if my co-ords are goofed up please let me know!

Tucked at the base of the cliffs on the shore of Lake Erie east of Turkey Point is a small sleepy hamlet called Normandale.
One of the province's oldest country inns, the Union Hotel is tucked away here. Long before Confederation, Normandale was a boom town whose local iron foundry drew American tinkers from across Lake Erie. The hotel was built to accommodate them in 1835 but the iron ore ran out 25 years later. After more than a century of neglect, the hotel was reborn close to 40 years ago and taken over by its current owners in 1990.
