Welcome to the South Linwood Playground, site of the former Idlewood School. Target is a tiny nano.

This is the first of M.E.C.K.S. caches hidden, within many to follow in our great town of Crafton, PA.

Did you know Crafton was named one of the "Best Places to Raise Your Kids" by Bloomberg Business Week" in 2011? It's true.

Bloomberg Article

On this spot, at the upper playground, was situated the Idlewood School. This K-12 school building, also known as the Third Ward School, served the now defunct Borough of Idlewood, which was anexed to Crafton Borough in 1901. The school was a stone, gothic-style structure built in the late nineteenth century and consisted of four school rooms. It remained open until the 1950's and was razed due to consolidation and ongoing repair costs.

This neighborhood is Crafton's Third Ward, formerly the Borough of Idlewood. Idlewood was it's own borough when Crafton was in its infancy. Third Ward School, now South Linwood Playground, was first known as the Idlewood Public School. Idlewood had it's own post office, hotel, train station (now a bus stop on the West Busway), school board, and government. Idlewood once even had a resort! On a larger scale this was once part of the now defunct St. Clair Township.

This is our team's first cache hide and it should be a little tricky to find. You are looking for a tiny, black nano. This could be a very high muggle area at times. This is a daytime only cache as this park is only open dawn until dusk. Police monitor it regularly at night! Please don't unravel this log if you are not going to properly roll it back up. The log is only big enough to write your initials. Bring a Pen!

CONGRATULATIONS GIRLZ-LOVE-CACHE$$$$ FOR THE FTF!!!
