Geocache Description:

WWFM IX - I'm Late! I'm Late! For a Very Important Date!
Operation: White Rabbit, Saturday, June 9th 1:05 pm - 1:20 pm
*Operation: White Rabbit, bring or wear some type of white rabbit clothing, toy, name tag with a white rabbit logo, etc. but be sure to keep it hidden until the appropriate time!

~~PRELIMINARY INFORMATION~~
This event is a "Flash Mob" gathering of geocachers, only 15 minutes long! To claim the event, you must be present and drop a signed log sheet (aka: the white rabbit) into the marked container during this time.
"WWFM" stands for the World Wide Flash Mob event: Hundreds of events all around the world, coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together geocachers and introduce others (non-geocachers) to geocaching.
You've heard of MEGA-EVENTS... This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. Sort of like a MICRO-EVENT.
Come be part of this historic experience! The event will begin precisely at *1:05pm on June 9, 2012 and will last EXACTLY fifteen minutes, not one second longer. (*Please note that this particular WWFM IX Event will begin 5 minutes later than other WWFM IX Events to coincide with the event theme

EVENT DETAILS:
Since this Flash Mob event is in a public park area parking could be an issue. I recommend you arrive with enough time to spare to not only find a parking spot but to then walk to the event.
Remember to pretend you are a non-cacher, and to act like you don't know any of the other geocachers present until the appropriate time.
At 1:04 PM - Make your way to the designated event coordinates shown above. Keep acting like you know no one.
1:05 PM - At exactly 1:05 PM as determined by the GPS clock, A signallil will be given at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the flash mob. You may then converge on the area for the official event. Signed log sheets should be dropped in the marked log sheet container. There will also be a large marked container for trackables and a third container with FTF goody bags for everyone in attendance. Then mingle and chat with your fellow cachers until the start of the main attraction.
1:10 PM - At exactly 1:10 PM as determined by the GPS clock Another signal will be given to signify the start of the White Rabbit event. What I mean by "White Rabbit Event" is that all participants should bring with them or wear some sort of white rabbit toy or logo. You should make all efforts to keep your White Rabbit hidden until the whistle blows for the White Rabbit event to start, this will make our group all the more noticeable to the innocent by-standers nearby, which is the primary purpose of the Flash Mob.
1:15 PM - At exactly 1:15 PM as determined by the GPS clock, A third signal will be given to signify the end of the White Rabbit Event. Everyone will immediately assemble for and take the group photo. After the photo there will be a drawing for the recipient of our White Rabbit Travel Bug, everyone will receive a tracking number to record and watch his progress. Followed by a brief mingle and chat session.
1:19 PM - One minute warning is called. Clean up and prepare to leave.
1:20 PM - All White Rabbits must go back into hiding and everyone must LEAVE the area immediately! AMSCRAY and SKEDADDLE! Log entries sealed and closed. If you missed the signing and the photo, you missed the event.
THE END

FLASH MOB CACHE EVENT HISTORY:
The first Flash Mob Cache Event -- PodCacher Flash Mob Cache Event -- was hosted by iTrax and FoxTail (of PodCacher fame) on May 20 2007 in San Diego. There were about twenty other events held concurrently in different states and countries.
The second edition -- now termed "WWFM" -- included over 80 events across nine countries, and 33 US states.
The third edition totaled 167 events in 15 countries and 45 US states (and two US territories).
And the fourth installment had 154 events in 20 countries and 39 US states and territories. One of the aims of the WWFM events is to have geocaching groups around the world assembling at the same time. The vast majority of events have been scheduled to begin at the local equivalent of 1pm Eastern. (For example, 1pm in Albemarle is 10am in California is 7pm in Zurich.) Come on down and join thousands of geocachers around the world! In your "Will Attend" log please post the projected number in your group.
FTF HONORS WILL GO TO All Who Attend!!!
