Geocache Description:


The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts is located in the northwestern part of Kaohsiung City, in the Neiweipi Cultural Park. Situated on 34 hectares of land and surrounded by natural scenery, the Neiweipi Cultural Park includes the museum itself, a lake, a sculpture park, a nature park, and a children’s art museum. The park’s paths go around the lake and meander amongst sloping lawns and thickets of trees. As a reproduction of the ecology of a marshland, the park is replete with roosting birds, dancing butterflies, and insect calls. Amidst this natural exhibition space filled with outdoor sculpture, the spirit of art is heartily revealed. The Fountain Plaza includes a fountain where the public can enjoy a cup of coffee and take in a musical performance. Moreover, at the front of the museum there is the Front Plaza which can hold 2,000 people. In short, the entire area is a diverse blend of art, education, nature and leisure
