FR: Le Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG) est où l'ESA, l'Agence spatiale européenne, lance ses fusées, donc, c'est le port spatial de l'Europe,même si elle est située en Amérique du Sud.
En 1964, le gouvernement français a choisi Kourou, entre 14 autres sites, comme base pour lancer ses satellites. Lorsque l'Agence spatiale européenne a été créée en 1975, le gouvernement français a offert de partager le CSG avec l'ESA. Pour sa part,l'ESA a approuvé le financement pour moderniser les installations de lancement au CSG pour préparer le Port Spatial pour les fusées ”Ariane”, qui étaient en cours de développement.
Kourou se situe à une latitude de 5 ° 3 ', un peu plus de 500 km nord de l'équateur,ce qui le rend idéalement placé pour lancer de satellites en orbite géostationnaire, parce que peu de modifications doivent être apportées à la trajectoire des satellites. Les fusées gagnent de vitesse supplémentaire en utilisant la grande force de la rotation de la Terres autour de l'équateur, et ils sont envoyés dans l'espace avec une vitesse de 460 m par seconde.
À ce jour, l'ESA a investi plus de € 1,6 milliard en l'amélioration et le développement des installations du Port Spatial de l'Europe.

La cache est placé dans un endroit public, tres intéressant à visiter, et on peut le visiter 24/7, mais si vous n'êtespas grandes, peut-être vous devez amener un ami plus grand.
Soyez prudent avec le remplacement de la cache et pour les moldus.
Eng: Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG) is the space centre where ESA, the European Space Agency, launches its rockets from, and thereby it is the spaceport of Europe, even though it is placed in South America.
In 1964 the French Government chose Kourou, from 14 other sites, as a base from which to launch its satellites. When the European Space Agency came into being in 1975, the French Government offered to share CSG with ESA. For its part, ESA approved funding to upgrade the launch facilities at the CSG to prepare the Spaceport for the Ariane launchers under development.
Kourou lies at latitude 5°3', just over 500 km north of the equator, and this makes it ideally placed for launches into geostationary transfer orbit as few changes have to be made to a satellite’s trajectory. The rockets gains extra speed by using the great force of the Earths rotation around the equator, and are sent into space with a speed of 460 m per second.
To date, ESA has invested more than €1.6 billion in improving and developing the ground facilities at Europe’s Spaceport.

The cache is placed in a public area worth visiting, and can be visited 24/7, but if you are short you maybe should bring a tall friend.
Be careful with replacement and mugglers, since cache maintenance is not possible.
Nl:Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG) is het ruimte centrum waar de ESA, de European Space Agency, zijn raketten lanceert, het is dus de ruimtehaven van Europa, alhoewel het zich in Zuid-Amerika bevindt.
In 1964 koos de Franse overheid Kourou, uit 14 andere sites, als de basis om zijn satelietten te lanceren. Toen het European Space Agency opgestart werd in 1975, bood de Franse overheid aan om het CSG te delen met de ESA. Dan keurde de ESA de fondsen goed om de lanceer installaties up te graden voor de Ariane raketten, die ontwikkeld werden.
Kourou ligt op N 5°3', iets meer dan 500 km ten noorden van de evenaar, dit maakt de basis uiterst geschikt voor lanceringen naar een geostationaire baan, omdat maar weinig veranderingen aan het traject van de satelliet gemaakt moeten worden. De cache is geplaatst in een publieke zone, die het zeker waard is om te bezoeken en kan 24/7 bezocht worden. Maar als je niet al te groot bent, kan je best een lange vriend meenemen.
Wees voorzichtig met het herplaatsen en voor mugglers.
