While the guys were fishing I went exploring.....this is the last of three caches placed.
This part of the lake is full of pond lilys. Laurel will be blooming soon and stagger bush is in bloom along the banks
Just up a little bit from gz is a pretty decent beaver dam. Looks to have been here a while. On the other side is a picturesque pond where Stephen Creek enters the lake. And if you dare enter and wind around the trees you will find a very nice beaver lodge.
Apparently I surprised the beaver because there was a very loud slap and a good size ripple in the water as I neared the lodge.
Back out on the lake we were treated to an osprey sighting before heading back to the truck.
