Home to both the Tawa AFC and Tawa Softball Club (the clubs share the same accommodation) this park provides grounds for three different sporting codes.
During the winter, the lower level has a rugby pitch. The upper level provides two pitches, a full size football and a smaller junior grade football field. In summer the soft ballers get to attempt to hit a home run on the diamond.
The Tawa AFC was founded in 1971 with two senior teams and approximately 200 juniors. Since then, it has grown and there are now 12 senior teams and over 350 junior players enjoying the round ball code.
If you’re visiting while there is sport happening in front of you, please take all care to ensure you are not muggled. Also the clubrooms have big windows and you never know who could be looking out them, at you.
The cache is a small container and contains only a log. Bringing your own pen/pencil would be recommended.
Please NOTE that you must sign the logbook for each individual cacher or proof of a photo for group logs, otherwise your log may be deleted. It would be appreciated if you would please securely hide the cache back in its place, as we really don't want it to get muggled.
