Geocache Description:

A short hike in Lincoln Woods State Park.

This cache was moved to a more suitable location on 12/05/2021.

I wonder what's down that way...

Is that water I hear?

Hmmm... do you think that's a good place for one?

What if I try over there?

For those of us who hide caches, we all have our own reasons for choosing the locations that we do. Sometimes we'll be walking in an area (probably towards another cache) and we'll see the perfect spot. Other times, we have a specific idea in mind and wander all over the place just to find the location that suits the cache perfectly.
Historical sites, beautiful scenery, a physical challenge. There's all sorts of reasons.
Heck, a few hiders may just throw a quick cache any old where, just because there isn't another one within 528 feet.

Sometimes I wonder what brought about certain caches that I find. "Why here?" "How did they find this place?" "What in the world were they thinking?!" I'm sure many of you have had the same thoughts. So here's the story behind this one...

Curiousity brought about this hide. I was doing some research on the park and this was one of the places I wanted to scope out to place a certain cache. Well, I found a good spot for that cache before I got this far on my list. So on a return visit to the park, I made a special detour to this area just to see what was here. Upon arriving, there was a simple thought of "I wonder..." and I promptly went about satifying this curiousity with what I believe is a positive result.

I find this to be a soothing and quiet location. The bugs can be brutal here and I suggest you tread lightly after it rains as there may the potential to get quite wet. We wouldn't want that now, would we?
